We are a small gym in Darley Abbey with room to move. You will not have to queue for a squat rack, and nobody is watching how you train. Some members come for the infrared saunas, some for small-group coaching, and some simply want a quieter gym than the big chains. Whatever brings you here, you can train at your own pace and make progress in a clean, calm space.

Why Choose an Independent Gym in Derby?

Independent means ONE|DZ is a family-run gym, not part of a national chain. We are in Darley Abbey, a short drive from Derby city centre, with free parking on site. Members train in a calm, clean space with room to move, rather than a packed floor.

Training here can include personal training, boxing coaching, physiotherapy and sports massage, and members can add private infrared sauna sessions. We are open 6am to 10pm Monday to Friday and 7:30am to 4:30pm on Saturday and Sunday.

What to Expect When You Join

There is no contract. Your membership is a rolling monthly direct debit, with a 30 day notice period if you ever need to cancel. If you would rather not commit yet, you can pay on the door for a one-off session.

Everyone is welcome to have an induction. The gym has full public liability insurance, and there is a defibrillator in a cabinet on the wall by the front door.

Free parking is available on site, and both changing rooms have lockers, so you can arrive in your work clothes and leave feeling fresh.
